The Student Conclave is an undergraduate section of the Society for Rangeland Management. This organization is dedicated to providing college students with educational resources and networking opportunities within the field of rangeland management. At the convention students are encouraged to attend mixers, form teams for events like scavenger hunts, and run for leadership positions within the conclave.
The Student Conclave is beneficial in this manner for undergraduates as they seek to develop their professional network and provides a basis for navigating future careers.
I’ve been a part of SRM going on 4 years. For the past 3 years the UIdaho Range Club has had at least 2 members serve on the Student Conclave Officer team. I myself served from 2023-24 as the social media manager and YPC Liason. Currently I’m honored to serve as the 2024-25 President. My experiences as an officer has lead to an even more deep connection with the organization. My years of service have connected me on both a personal and professional level with people across numerous countries and experience level. I’ve learned so much about the people and passion driving rangeland management, and been able to advance education on this topic through networking, webinars, and social media. Not to mention how these connections and this service will help me secure a job post graduation and launch my career in the field which I love.
